Meditation for Self Esteem

Meditation can help and bring clarity to our sense of self and also help us detect the negative self-talk and dismiss it for what it is. This technique works at a deeper level by removing the negative impressions that we accumulated through our life, at the same time it helps us to get the mental clarity we need, to create a fresh and healthier perspective about ourselves.

Our early life is marked by intense learning. We are like little sponges absorbing everything we come into contact with. And it’s normal as we need to create a working model for this reality we find ourselves in and of who we are. So it’s no shocker that our parents and older siblings have the greatest impact on this process and our sense of self-esteem.

Later when school starts, our teachers and our academic abilities bring their own contribution to who we think we are.

Our nervous system stores all of these impressions. If most of our experiences have been negative, we tend to be quite self critical and sensitive to criticism from others. We will be indecisive and always on the defensive. We will try to perform perfectly and remember past mistakes, feeling guilty for them. Also we will be eager to please.

These self esteem issues limit our capacity for happiness and can even cause us to behave in damaging ways; picking up an eating disorder, drinking, smoking or even self harm.

How Sakura can help?

Sakura meditation for self esteem balances the nervous system, by allowing it to rest at a deep level so that it dissolves the regressive patterns that have been holding us back for quite some time.

The more we meditate, the more we clear away these negative impressions. We start to feel more sure of who we really are and what is our inner truth. So that our self esteem and confidence no longer depend on external approval from the outside world, but are a natural result of feeling comfortable and connected with our true self.

We make decisions with confidence and follow our growing intuition from within. We are more courageous and able to make good use of opportunities that come our way, whether in professional or personal life. Interacting with others becomes easy and we enjoy expressing ourselves authentically without holding back our inner being.

We begin to share our ideas with clarity and looking people in the eye, politely asserting our preference. We are calm and present in every situation, and those around us will seek our company more often.

Another effect of sakura meditation is that we perform better, think more clearly and have more energy. Our new normal will be top performance whenever we are: home, work or play.
